Hi guys,
questions to all those Rocket owners out there (no, not North Korea):
Have you ever encountered failures or complete damage of your Rocket card after transporting it built-in to your MacPro, DIT station or whereever you use it?
Any supported cases prefered?
Do you use only the standard mounting of PCi boards in a MacPro or maybe something that fixates it even better?

We have an issue here where 2 out of 3 Rocket cards built in MacPros show different problems and all they have in common is that they get shipped and transported on a regular basis as we are a rental house.
One doesn't show up in the hardware systems at all, the other does only a 1/2 debayer but not full debayer.
And I'm sure not every Rocket card is built into a tower which then is never ever moved again.

Multiple DIT-cart rockets here having been out on 100's of days of shooting in the back of vans etc. Works well...

Some firmwareupdates, otoh...

Thanks, Gunleik.
What kind of cases do you use for your machines?

Thanks, Gunleik.
What kind of cases do you use for your machines?

We've built a couple of padded flights on wheels, that have been strapped in the back of vans, when not rolled out, we've had temporal solutions on trollies going in-and out every day in all weather AND we have had stations built into cars.
Firmware updates have generally been much riskier than transport...

Poor solder joints in the redrocket.

My redrocket just died after over a year of use (gentle physical use, sustained decoding use)
