I tried to breakdown the users guide, to get an overview of the menues.
Maybe you find it handy for navigating in the camera.
If you find anything wrong let me know, and I´ll adjust it.

Manuel,

I was just getting ready to build one of these for myself. Thanks.

Do you have a PDF version that will print more cleanly than your bitmaps?

Can someone with a Camera check the "Viewfinder" section in the AV Menue,
I´m not 100% sure i interpreted the manual right on that point.

Na, they don´t need to pay me, I´m fine with a 10% discount ;)
However I´m fine if they want to include it.

Well seems there are minor changes in the Menue, like in the Configuration menue where you can choose Redcode 36 or Redcode 28, and the new 3K setting.
Will have a change to play with build 14 next week, and will update the quickguide accordingly.

best regards

Build 15 is about a month away. I appreciate that Manuel is willing to keep up with his Quickguide with each release.

Jarrad, you might consider making a sticky out of this until RED incorporates one into the operations guide.

What is Open Gate?

Manuel Wenger
04-09-2008, 08:51 AM
Open Gate: lets the camera preview images at 48Hz (50Hz) update rate when operating in
23.98 or 24.00 fps (25 fps) Project Frame Rates. In record, all monitor path images will be
viewed at 48Hz, but recorded at 23.98 or 24.00 fps (viewed at 50Hz, recorded at 25 fps) .... taken from the Operator Guide Build 15
