Hi RED FANS

Can anyone inform me if the overheating of the camera in a normal 85c day to which it auto shuts down is being sorted out. if so how can we fix it. If not then Ill have to keep putting ice packs on it. Bit old school. but seems to work.

Also we are in desperate need to have a RCU (remote camera unit) made.
Or at least a remote of and on switch.
Can any RED guru give me a hint. or do we have to make up our own.

We are wanting to put RED ONE on high speed car rigs and and big Cranes and don't want the traveling circus to roll to a stop or drop the crane just to turn the camera off and on.
Also to have a remote, either cabled or remote hand held system that we can change settings on the run like we do with the ARRI 435.

I totally understand that RED is still in BETA and that you have many things that are being sorted. But this is a critical bit of kit that we all use, all the time.

Buy the way the pictures are bloody amazing!!!!, everytime we chuck the 435 back up on the legs it feels like Im looking at a dinosaur bone.
Minus feeling like we have gone back in time in the way of having to turn cameras of and on the cameras images kick arse.

GO RED GO !!! you rule

Hi Big T

Just a few questions for you.

What camera # do you have?

When you say 85c you mean 85F right?

Make sure you change the fan speed to HOT. I had a shut down, then changed fan speed and it's been all good since.
