RED charger fan noise

When the charger is not charging batteries, but powering the camera it stays very cool.

Is it possible to firmware upgrade it somehow so its fan is quieter in this situation?

I´m thinking of attaching a temperature gauge and resistor to it myself, but that would kill the warranty, wouldn´t it? ;-)

you got a power cable with your power pack ?
or you ordered it separate?

did you recieve a AC power adaptor with power pack ? (unit that only powers camera and no fan in it ) ?

Yep, I got a power cable with the power pack. Just as displayed on the RED site: http://www.red.com/store/product_detail/39

I completely foregot about the separate power adaptor. You are of course right. Thats the solution (I just hope there´s no fan in the power adaptor.) :-)

from the 2 units i have ..
as far as i can see/hear there is no fan in the AC power supply ..
no vents on the unit either .. i hear nothing from it , i like what i'm not hearing !!
