How do I get a TC output from this camera, or is that not implemented yet? The manual has a diagram of the lemo TC connector, but only lists TC inputs on it.

I'm sure you have tried Pin 5?
The manual does state Pin 5 is reserved for future use.

Have not tested this on build 13 - but it was not working (TC out) in previous builds -

Some friends just got their Reds, and they said they get nothing from pin 5--no TC out at all. (Which is a serious bummer.) I hope that's on the fixit list. My friends also said that the camera's TC can't be set onboard, that it always starts @ 1 hr? Is this true? They've also already run into issues with the lack of level setting ability on the line inputs (factory level doesn't match their mixer's level).

Timecode Output is not yet enabled.
Timecode meaning Time of Day is settable on the camera (if you need to) but Timecode meaning Run Record / Edge Code always starts at 1.00.00.00 for each Digital Magzine. But as RED uses a file based workflow, where each clip has its own unique name to reference back to, we can ditch some old and not to relevant production techniques.

We can ditch TC? Or having the "rolls" or "mags" have different TCs? What happens when we do a multicam shoot? We have been using a "file-based workflow" in audio for several years now, but we also TC stamp the files (BWAV) for several reasons, not the least of which is post syncing to picture, as well as syncing various audio devices together. (Like a 2 track machine for dailies and a multitrack for prefade isos.) I kind of think having settable TC would be a good idea....I think a number of editors might agree? At least until the workflows you envision are universally adopted? And I need a TC output in any case--since virtually all of my clients want the camera to be the shoot TC master.
