Saw a post on CML talking about the Bright Tangerine Matte box. Was hoping a few of you who went to NAB could chime in about it? Price? availability? can't seem to find much. Also, noticed the PAGlink batteries as well. Any word on those? comparable to AB HCs? still weighing out my options for a Matte Box and battery system.
Any information is greatly appreciated.
I found my info here: http://www.picturethisproductions.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=269:nab-2012-top-products&catid=52:review&Itemid=94

Good to hear there are more options.
I'm sorely disappointed in the Redrock Micro mattebox. Of all the accessories I've purchased, from Wooden Camera, Cinema Oxide, RED, Global Media Pro, Redrock's mattebox is about the worst in terms of satisfaction for dollar.
They can't even get their blue screws right, nor any of the holds on the flags to be durable. Design for the coupling of the swing away is horrible. It's barely better than what you can buy from Chinese knock offs on Ebay.
More Matte Box choices for 19mm rods, below $2000 PLEEEASE!!

The Genus Elite mattebox is fantastic... got mine after ditching my crappy Redrock Micro Mattebox... it's under $2k and a really nice, functional, lightweight mattebox, and I believe they have a 19mm clamp for it.
Don't know anything about the tangerine mattebox, but it looks sweet. Just hard to tell when you've never seen one, you know?

This matte box is interesting. There's a shortage of arri mmb-2 and mff-2 in L.A and I need a matte box now.. Wondering when this will come out.

Genus looks like a good option thanks. The 19mm rod support is on the Genus website but I don't see it at BH as an accessory option. I'll call them Monday.

You can also call True Lens Services (http://www.lensrepair.co.uk/), they are in the UK and make/distribute the Genus matteboxes (or at least did, as of 2 years ago when I dealt with them.) They customized my Elite with dual rotating trays, as it has only one rotating tray by default. Colin and Keith were great to communicate with and were super fast in getting the mattebox to me.
Here's my Genus Elite on the Scarlet

I have seen the tangerine Matte box and they look awesome. The guy behind it is ex Arri so expect Arri build quality at a better price but they are not going to be uber cheap. There is a range of boxes starting with clamp on through to full production. There are some demo models floating around at Sydney suppliers including Lemac.

What is so bad of the Redrock Micro Mattebox...its under 1K! There isn't much reasonable priced Mattebox on the market? Any suggestions?

I bought an old Chrosziel mattebox from a friend, and it's great. Very good materials, light, good-looking, reliable french flag system, top class compared to chinese or indian products. Was about 450 dollars.
Check out ebay for some used gear.

Some are not fans of the donuts, the shades don't attach as solidly as might be preferred, the screw adjustment of height can be finicky... so not as solid as an Arri, but certainly usable and less expensive.
