I've read through the doc - noticed a few trivial typos:

[page 3] "Torx is a registered trademark of Textron" <-listed twice at bottom of page

[page 47] Raw Clip Level Bar: (Q) Does this mean that a full bar represents >= half pixels in the image are clipping?

[page 62] "have advanced settings and" <- the sentence after this has been deleted .

[page 63] "SENSATIVITY" <- Sensitivity

[page 224] "Back focus adjustment" ..."BEFORE TO PERFORM" <- Remove the word 'TO'

[page 229] Vertical Dimension 46.74 <- Guess this should be 146.74

One thought as I was reading the manual (I don't have an EPIC yet / ie complete newbie) - relating to effect of colour fidelity in low light.

+) Each RGB photosite on the sensor must be hit by a number of photons to register a change (sensitivity).
+) As light reduces to almost zero we hit the point that some photosites have more photons that hit than others.
+) This fluctuation in white light causes colour change noise.
+) If a greater number of RGB points in the bayer pattern can be summed perfectly, then colour accuracy will improve (at the expense of image resolution).

My question is this: The minimum compression of the REDCODE is 3:1. If the compression was removed, (or a lower compression was available - eg 2:1), would we be able to more accurately add luma values, and create a lower resolution image with higher colour fidelity?

2nd thought: If the ASIC that does the discreet cosine transformation consumes a lot of power ... maybe this step could be avoided? Photographers would get a more detail in their images, and the battery life might increase?
