Red Cables

Pana-Tech has been doing custom cables for a number of the Red Community and we can all recommend his work. Yesterday we demoed some of his latest developments.

12V to Red Lemo
Remote Start Stop with Tally light and 20ft Extension
ENG Lens to AUX232, complete with servo operation for the lens and record and RET control of the Red from the ENG Lens

Very funny to see the RET button on the ENG lens give you playback of the last shot recorded!

Wes, is it possible to have a combo Remote Start/Stop, RET unit?
Means you could also get playback from the camera whilst on crane etc.

Yes Scott that would be possible, two ways it could be done... One cable NO Tally, by adding a "Y" with two connections to the camera, I could add tally. I'll work on something in the next week and drop by.

Daniel Reichenbach had a remote cable made with Rec and Playback buttons, I've seen it live working, see this thread :
