Now that Red is gearing up for reservation numbers 500-750, how many of the first 500 actually took delivery?

I'd love to see a map actually with pins in or little numbered flags to see what sort of scattering there was geographically...

There was a world map with pins, but the pins disappeared months ago.

I don't think the reason was ever addressed.

My only problems with it the last time around were that it was voluntary (many reds weren't pinpointed) and non-exclusive (some red zealots raised flags without having a red in hand or on order).

So, on a voluntary basis anyway, I think a map with pins is more disinformation than information, if the pins don't represent the entire universe of cameras.

Unfortunately, there may be legal and business reasons for keeping this information private.

I think it definitely needs to be private. As Red will even keep the fact that you have ordered or own a camera private by default, as most vendors would. But the voluntary maps seems to have stopped functioning. Too bad, it was very cool.

I was hoping someone from Red or one of the people who seem to have an inside track there could tell us. They are about to ship another 250 cameras and I'm interested in how many shipped last month. Was it the full 200 (#300-500) or something lower? Jim's ultimatum thread seemed directed at a "handful" of people whose number had come up but hadn't committed yet. My number is approaching and I'm curious about whether I'm joining a group of 500 users or closer to 300.

I would say that the closer you get to the end of the line that less people will take order of their camera. Probably 100% of the first 100 SN were accepted- after that it's probably n 80/20 rule. So my bet is that there are 400 or so out there.

Hi Jarred, where did you get that info.
That's definitely good news.
