Im looking for an on-set monitor and so far Im thinking of getting either of these two. Ive used the marshall in the past and found it acceptable picture-design wise. Two days ago I had the chance to see the sony in an editing room and again found the picture acceptable. Of course its a studio panel but if I choose it I will get a case made specifically for the panel and the prossesor. What worries me is that I cant find anywhere on the internet its contrast ratio and brightness, only some vague "excellent brightness, superb contrast ratio" comments. Anyone used it and care to comment? Id like to hear your thoughts for the marshall as well.
Remember that Im not going for a true 1080 panel, nor do I need it to be super colour accurate, since its only for on-set use.
