Hey Guys,
Going to be shooting a large venue comedy show with some big talent and strong producer backing in May. Plan on using my own RED and renting others / securing a deal with a post house in LA that has RED experience (Redcine, Scratch, etc.) Does anyone know of a post house who could demo their RED workflow one afternoon for myself and a producer (with the potential of working on the show)? Names, numbers, or PM would be great! Thanks,
- drew

If you're looking for a post house here in Los Angeles, you should check out Hollywood DI as well. They've got quite a bit of Red experience and expertise.

Hi Drew,
We're just going through post-production on our first 95 minute RED feature (shot on two REDS before Christmas) plus an 18 minute RED short and a RED music video.
We have two SCRATCH systems and have also developed a cool Apple based workflow for long form productions.
We'll even have a 35mm film-out test on Tuesday of some RED shots we recently graded.
We've done comparisons between RED and Genesis, F23, Viper, F900 and other HD formats .... our colorist, Aaron Peak, is pretty impressed with how well RED footage holds up in the DI suite.
We can demo the RED footage projected out of our Barco 2k DLP projector and show you the film-out test if you're interested. Plus we can project 4k RED through SCRATCH and HD ProRes422HQ through FCP/COLOR and show you how they compare.
If you're interested in learning more about our services and workflow, please call me on 323 850 3550.
We're based in West Hollywood and our sister company RPMpost did one of the first RED training sessions in LA a few months ago with Vladamir Eugene. Ted from RED also attended - it was a fun day and everyone was amazed how great the RED footage looked projected in our DI theater.

Hi Drew,
I also recommend Hollywood DI. Their professionalism, organization, and knowledge helped realize an informative training session on October 6th. Sean and Ted from Red, and Lucas from Scratch were present and contributed greatly. If my memory serves me correctly, you came as well, and you brought some models with you- which also helped, especially for the green screens
If I can be of any assistance please feel free to contact me.

Thanks guys, I was at the training session and will be giving Hollywood DI / Neil a call soon (producer is in Dubai). Vlad, you rock and my actor friends were more than stoked to get up on some REDs.

Hollywood DI is fantastic!
They are providing the color correction and online for a RED short that I shot in October. Not only do they have the capability and know how to work with RED footage in both Scratch and Final Cut Pro, they also are extremely helpful as collaborative storytellers. Neil and Aaron both gave valuable insight and story notes for several edits throughout the post process.
I highly recommend them as a post house for any format, but especially the RED.

Hello everyone!
Our company, Timecode Multimedia, has been working for the last few months on several RED shot projects for TV and Film. We are a post production studio offering professional and affordable post services to the independent producer and film maker since 2001. Our work has been seen on PBS, The History Channel, NBC, HDNet, and film festivals such as Tribeca in N.Y., AFI Film Festival and Spirit Awards in L.A.
Due to the success of our RED projects and the complete understading of the RED workflow, we have decided to offer an inexpensive service to convert all your RED footage to the format of your choice along with our full range of professional & cost effective post services. Don't spend valuable time being unproductive.
We have various 2008 Xeon Octocore Mac Pros ready to do the long and painful job for you quick. Give us an EDL or the shots you want to convert, specify the one-light color correction values, give us your approval over a quick session in-house, or if you are too busy, we'll even provide a live web preview to then take care of the conversions.
If you are interested, please visit our website for more info about our complete post services us or give us a call at any time.
Thanks!
