Hi all,
who can please tell me if i`ll be set with this order?
Please note that the cam will go on a Cartoni head, on a Actioncam R.E., on a 9 ft crane with Manfrotto base and handheld. Birger and Canon.
I will try to fit my Chrosziel 401 base plate and Chrosziel 450 MB.
CF cards just two because i`m gonna wait the 16GB

Edit: how long is the cable of the battery belt. Will be easy to customize one?
How to connect the lcd at the base of the crane? Will be easy to customize a lcd cable that lenght?
You realize that you have on your order 2 chargers and 3 batteries. The Red power pack comes with 1 charger and two batteries then you have another battery and another charger. It make sense to have three batteries but you don't need two chargers. Also have you checked other batteries options like Dynacore they have batteries of 14.8V 160Wh. Check at http://www.dynacore-china.com

My fault, i wrote just 1 extra batt (corrected). i`ll have 4 batts and two chargers. I`m afraid Red is sucking a lot of energy. Going to check the dynacore link.

Well, if you have 4 batteries, then you don't have one on the camera, and the RED charger isn't balanced very well, and falls over with 1 battery on it. So it may be nice to have a 5th, so you have batteries being charged at all times and one in use...

i like what you ordered... im thinking of getting only 1 reddrive rather than 2.. each can do 3 hours of redcode .. its kinda overkill... ill get me 2 cf cards and a flash module... all leading to the same price of 1 red drive.
why 3 universal mounts?
btw i can hook up a red prod pack directly to a normal tripod right? no extra stuff needed?

This is not true-- the charger stands up just fine with one battery-- you just have to engage the stand on the bottom of charger.

RED charger is sequential, not parallel. It only charges one battery at a time.
Having two power packs (2 chargers, 4 batteries) is a good way to go, you can charge two batteries at the same.
The Dynacore and other batteries will not report voltage or remaining battery charge to the camera. See the third-party battery thread.

Why the extra LCD cable? The LCD and EVF come with cables, unless you're ordering a longer one.
If you're going to be shooting something important or on a paid gig using RED drives, I would recommend having more than one -- like 2 or 3. Never know.

no. Each charger can only charge one battery at a time. even if you have two batteries on the charger, one charges, then the other will start charging after the first is complete.

RED currently delivers free AC adaptors with power packs because they are short of supply of the power cable from charger to camera. (please check with your sales rep if this is still the case!)
So I suggest you remove the AC adaptor from the order or you will end up with three of them (like I did :blink:.)

Paolo, something thats maybe overlooked, its been recommended on other threads and I think its a good idea.
Get a couple more bolt sets. They're cheap ($9) and who wants production to be held up due to breaking or misplacing some cheap bolts?:whistling:

The base production pack comes with the right handle. You'll probably want to buy the left one as well. Also you may want to get the handle mount (which I think attaches to a universal mount) in order to spread the handles wider. Without it the handles will only be the width of the rods...

The handles slip and slide on the rods no matter how tight you make them and the tightning knobs snap off. You do not need these handles and will throw them in the case and never use them.
What you did not order and need is a red/arri base plate in 15mm or 19mm which ever accessories size you use in your area. This is a must. The Element Technica gear like the red/arri base plate is the best built red accessories on the market.

Fair enough. Anyone know if the EVF and LCD use the same cable? I'm thinking they do. The only difference I see cosmetically is the LCD cable has a straight connector on one end while the EVF has 90-degree connectors on both ends.

That's correct. Cables are interchangeable. Only difference is the straight connector on the LCD cable.
And unfortunately no longer cables are available right now. I asked.

I have made ajustaments to what I believe you should get and not get and a serious consideration for the batteries as they contain High quantity of Lithium and even so I would love nothing more then to find the RED batteries okay, I do believe that they might cause serious problems for you and I traveling from and to Italy.
