The one with the yellow gloves is fantastic, a whole generation in one image. Great series of shots, very creative work.

The final image has the painted gregory crewdson feel to it. I wonder how difficult that look would be to achieve in motion? I wonder how much is lighting and filterization and how much is post airbrush which would be difficult on a motion clip. Really love it!

Great photography. Some of the best seen with the Epic so far. High fashion material.

This is typical of when intellect and technique are the only foundation for a work of art. These photographs are superficial, lacking in any texture and having no deep aesthetic or emotional value. Fucking cool camera, though.
It's like architects who try so hard to be 'original' that the result is nothing but a loud shout with nothing to say. Gosh, if this is what you call great photography, I worry about what you would call average and I don't dare care to see what you would call poor.

I am not even seeing any intellect..Its just pure Steven Klein, a diva photographer who is surrounded by people who tell him how great he is . But, i do think the pics are cool in the fashion world, which is quite different from any normal world.....and definitely looks like epic stills...

Ooooh, bitter, bitter, Nathaniel.
I know you guys started out at the same time and maybe he's just done a bit better than most.

Brandon, not bitter, just an observation ..
I think what he has done is amazing. I like his work , he is very talented with out doubt, and he is very successful. And he has done much better than most.. My admiration goes to the likes of Peter Lindbergh, Arthur Elgort , and Helmut Newton. The true gentlemen of the industry. Old school.

Not to digress too much, but I think Helmut Newton gets so much cred because of the subjects/content, more than the actual photography... it was pretty low-brow stuff that somehow got widely accepted... Let me put it another way; taste in photography is highly subjective. Pictures of scantily clad ladies, on the other hand, is considerably more objective (and awesome :)
Motion clip will follow soon.
When is the motion being posted?

NICE. WHAT LENSES?

Very "John Sutcliffe - Atomage" (for those of you who know he was and the type of images he published many years ago in Atomage.) Also, a lot of similarities to the stuff currently seen in "Skin Two." (Some of the latex clothes provided for the shoot were made by friends of ours. Atsuko Kudo has done quite well for herself dressing Lady Gaga, among others.)

The motion clip could take a LOOOONG time, depending on the amount of techs trying to do an industrial-strength " blur and smooth" to counteract the effects of age on the 50 year old model and deal with the monumental task of matching the final images from the actual pre-retouched ones.

Well ... she is actually 47 ... so I suppose that is close enough. I guess it depends on the lenses and filtration that they used. Of course, there is always this:

Oh, man if ONLY a plug-in could take the place of a professional stills retoucher and the extraordinary amount of time and talent it took to turn those images and that old lady into..whatever you want to call them......too funny!!!!
