Have the limited 50 quantities of the Redrock Mattebox begun shipping?

What is the current ETA?

Red Rock's target deliver is before the end of March. Its only a target and things are still subject to change. Thats the last I've heard from Brian at Red Rock. So probably before NAB. I think they've approved the final prototype and its been sent to manufacturing.

I wonder if that date will push? I know this thing was supposed to be out a long time ago. I just wish I knew if it was worth waiting around for.. If it truly is $500, then thats awesome.. But right now, I have my eye set on that Vocas 450.. But is that thing really worth 6x the price of a non-existent Redrock MB?

Upon reading the Red Rock Micro Forum, the price is still $500, 2 rotating stages, all metal except the lens attachment which is a rubber mount, stages are spring loaded...option for a 3rd stage for more $. Comes with a french flag, side flags optional for more $. Brian says %100 confidence on Q2 delivery, so if you don't need one now, wait. Like Red, Red Rock is trying to change the price point of cinema tools and it takes time and effort to deliver a $4000 product for $500.
