Chrosziel 411-50 ?

So Im getting a little impatient waiting for Redrock & I don't want to invest in a 5k MB-20. What do you guys make of the 411? I know its only 4x4 but is it worth it for a temp solution? I'll probably sell when something better comes along, like the Red MB.. I just need something today and my options are limited

I haven't used a 411-50, just the 450 XL H1 kit with 15mm rods. I thought it was nice and really light; I was really surprised how light it was, but it is plastic... If its a temporary solution, you'll be fine. I want a RedRock Matte Box, I was ripped off with the Chrosziel price...

Depends on what lens you plan to use. The Red zooms are 114mm diameter, and most of the Chrosziel product out there is 100 or 104mm or 110mm max diameter.
Chrosziel makes clamp-on or rods based systems with 130+mm rear openings but the 450-XX (110mm max rear) and 411-50 (104mm max rear) will not work with Red zooms.

Yea, Ill be using it for the Red Zoom primarily but I want options. What is the best low cost solution besides renting?

Arrri LMB-5, clip on and very widely used. It,ll cost you about $2k but it's worth it and will be a clip on you can grow with.

I started with 4x4 and as I grew (and got more glass) I had to replace all of my filters with 4x5.6! That sucked!$$$$

Get into 4x5.6 if you can. 5x5 or 6x6 for grads... It will have better resale value also!

I have a Chroziel 801 wich is very good and a 415 also very good but no swing away.
