I was wondering if it has been stated whether or not you can transfer data from the Red Flash to the Red Drive while both are attached to the camera. It would be nice to know soon because this will affect my accessory purchasing plans.

I like to shoot handheld a lot so I would shoot most things to the flash drive just to make sure the "needle" doesn't skip on the drive. When the flash drive is full I could set the camera down and dump all the flash drive contents to the drive which I would unload at the end of the day. It just seems like it would be easiest to do on camera in remote locations or on run n' gun productions. Thanks for the quick response.

I was thinking of having a similar set-up

Do we know how much vibration the Red drive can actually handle? Laptop drives are pretty rugged no?

The HDD - yep. The DVD drive - nope.
Tested it with a MacBook Pro few weeks ago.

By testing you mean you dropped it from a 10 story building?
