This will be my preferred long take solution. Those spinning drives give me the willies.

My pinky tells me the production model is going to be more than 64GB. It is definitely going to rock. Is is realistic for me to hope to see it rolling in after NAB? That's a month and a half away...

My spider senses tell me that RedRAM will be how we get the maximum frame rates from the camera.

Looks good. Only a matter how much space it offers ?

64GB is what the page says... I guess 128GB wouldn't be a bad guess if it's going to be bigger. Either way, it's plenty of storage for most circumstances.

I'm really looking forward to this product, I'm sure Red is working on it at this moment. Personally I'm looking for these qualities:

-Absolute Total Reliability ( as much as possible )
-Fast Write Speeds.
-Thinner and lighter than Red Drive, half width would be great.
-Not too big capacity, I think 64gb is ideal I'd rather have 5x 64gb units than 3x 128 GB units assuming the total cost was the same. I don't want too much data in one place...I don't want anyone to get stuck with a massive download at the end of the day.

It would be great if it had digital "bulkheads", where if one file or portion of RAM gets corrupted, it doesn't go ahead and become a "drive not found" brick. And yeah, 64G might be better than the 128G to avoid that "all in one basket" concept. Nothing like losing an entire day's worth of goodies cause of an I/O error.
