Searched earlier posts, but couldn't find a concise explanation of the pros/cons of each storage option (RED Drive/RED RAM/RED SATA Flash/RED CF Module/RED Express Card) and the formats/conditions under which you you would choose one over another.
I would imagine that a primer would be helpful to a lot of folks out there looking over the price list and putting their config together.

What kind of framerates can I get with the RED RAM option?
Perfrormance of Expresscard media vs. SATA 1.8 flash media??
Optical Port - any details? How does the data come out? Please define transeiver?
Is that photo of the camera reveal a RED PRIME lens?

Also interested in learning more about these options as well I'm actually not familiar with two of the options Express Card Media and SATA 1.8 Flash Media. Will all these formats require RED proprietary cards or will off the shelf media work as long as its up to specs? What are the cost/benefits of each of these options.

It's a very significant thread that will be Sticky'd at the top of this forum. It covers just about everything the average visitor here will need to know. It's not all factual and it's not made by RED... it's just me, some spare time and some speculation.
