Different CF Module Lettering - 1-200 / 200-on

So I've been noticing that any RED cam above 200 has its CF module "RED" lettering silvered where as my #194 and all the others below 200 have black lettering.

Anyone below or above 200 have a different story?

Used to be the RED was black. We tried a few with removing the black and liked it so much we stuck with it :)

I would imagine most people would want an all black camera. Mine is in the next batch after the one being delivered and was wondering if I could get mine blacked out.

All cameras are now coming with the lettering shaved off. Now if you want to slip me a $20 then maybe I will let one slide by haha

Yeah, I don't mean to start anything here either. And ultimately, who cares as long as the camera works. But if you took a vote, I'd be willing to bet that most people would prefer black. Just my opinion.

I like the chrome. it's sort of a nice accent onto it. and with all those accessories, not gonna see it anyway....

Actually, I hope we can actually choose, even if there's costs associated. I was starting to wonder if ever I use the RED to shoot documentary, how I would remove all the eye catching logos and writings on the camera without voiding the warranty. In such a situation, RED's good looks bites! :bleh:

344 is silver/ chrome.
Also, some of my accessories have a slightly shiny, "hard" anodized finish and some have a dull flat finish. I have one top mount of each type. A little ghetto. But I don't care, the image from the camera looks great.
