Elcurado... very nice. Love it. Hows 'bout some info? Images were tack sharp. What lens did you use? Shot in 25p 4k I presume? I can't wait for Birger mount. My S16 lens does not give me that sharp of an image at 1080.

Ted is " The Mouth " .... as close to a Marketing department RED has.
He has been at RED since day one... well even before Day one. (ironically though he is never at RED, because he's always on the Road pimping.)
There is a good chance if you have ever been to a RED event, Ted's the guy that's talking.

And an imager. An excellent imager, capability for the best lenses, store the raw image data to be processed however you like. Sounds like a great DSLR.
Oh, but it does 24, 30, 60 or more FPS - movies!
But that's the whole point, give us what we really need - superhighres motion pictures - at a heretofore unmatched price.

Thanks again to all.
You guys make my day!
Btw some quick technote:
Shot 4k, 16:9, 25fps, Redraid.
Red 18-50 and Red 300mm, both full aperture.
Little s-curve in Redcine, export QT Prores HQ 1080 25p, quick editing in FCP, export to H264.
Macpro - 3,2Ghz - Nvidia 8800 - 10 Giga Ram - Leopard, Quicktime 7.4.1
All smooth and fluent, just a little wait (overnight, don't know exactly) to transcode from Redcine to Qt.
That's all.

This is going to sound dumb, but what shots were with the 300? and i'm not wondering about the camera you shot at, but the one you shot with. It is really sweet, I'm just wanting to check on the shots that I thought were extra nice, that they are doable on the 18-55.

02-22-2008, 02:44 PM
Elcurado, how much footage did you process in Redcine? Want to see what your processing times were looking like.
Thanks,

Actually I own only one 18-50 and one 300 (waiting for the 50-150 and the primes set). Therefore every picture that shown the small lens is shot with the big one... :turned:

Thanks,
I have transcoded all the footage with the same settings (approx 30 minutes, ciak, tail and dirty thing included). Really don't know how much time the process take... Less than a night, more than one hour.

In California slang terms: "You're a gnarly good artist dude!"
Thanks again for the excellent logo you designed for GibCor (Gibby-Corben) a few months ago.
Your art talent is exceptional. That RED globe creation you did early last year is still the desktop image on one of my computers...love it...

Hi Elcurado, just thought about this: Take care, that you don't get in trouble with the music rights, if you show this movie to the public. Don't know if reduser.net is "public" or not or if you have a special deal with Mr. Stevens.
Corrado Silveri
02-23-2008, 11:36 PM
Hey Daniel,
no, I don't have any special deal with mr. Stevens...
Hope that the Reduser community send me some oranges and cake, when I will be throwed in jail.
Joke apart, I'm thinking this as a sort of "private viewing", not a commercial thing.
I don't think that is possible to use that clip at Nab "as is", without a contract with the right's owner of the song.
Btw, I'm Switzerland now! (Saas-Fee). Your country is really amazing.

yes especially since the font used is the one Apple uses everywhere (Myriad).
Maybe it could be re-rendered for NAB with the RED official font.

Meraviglioso! The lighting and music selections are just perfect. And the choice of Myriad font gives it a definite "Apple commercial" flavour.
Elcurado, with your blessing, could those of us without the benefit of two REDs use some of this footage (no music) in our companies' promotional materials? I've seen a lot of Redusers' websites advertising their equipment packages with photos pulled from red.com, but it might be nice to have some motion shots as well.
Corrado Silveri
02-25-2008, 01:09 PM

Will be perfect with the credit to e-motion - www.e-motion.tv (my company).

Btw, one of the thing that I admire in this country is the multi language culture. Italian, French, Deutsch, English... You can start speaking with almost anyone here in one of these languages at your choice. And you are understood.
Just to return to the topic, I have a lot of ideas to improve the "tribute".
