View Full Version : Camera LCD advice

So I need a HDsdi on camera LCD monitor. The red LCD does not help because it does not allow multiple outputs. I had hoped to get the EVF and wait for NAB to see if a company comes out with a good price on a LCD but unfortunately it looks like a long wait for an EVF. Because the LCD will pretty much become the focus pullers monitor after the EVF ships I am not overly concerned with it being the best quality picture HD LCD out and lower price is more important.
What do people recomend? Has anyone found a real good deal out there? Any suggestions and price, links, etc. are much appreciated.

Have you looked at the Carrion units mate?

Haven't used one myself, but have heard good things about them and the price is right...

Can any owners comment on this unit?

Hi Deran,
please check out TVlogic LVM - 071W. Seems to me a very interesting alternative to the above mentioned solutions. I personally do not like the Panasonics so much. The surface is reflecting badly IMO.
One wants waveform and HDSI pass through.
I haven't test it yet but any comment to this one is appreciated.

I have the Tvlogic 7" and the screen is also very reflective. Other than that it's great. Waveform and vectorscope is only on the HD/SDI input but it also has onboard audio meter, and headphone amp.
It also has a nice 1:1 pixel zoom, but no edge focus aid or zebra

I've got one, and I think it's fantastic, but it doesn't meet Finner's requirement. The SDI option is input-only, there's no outputs at all on this little monitor.

Barry do you have a link to this monitor? I googled it but nothing came up.

Too bad. Well, seems to be something that's common to all of the bunch.
Nonetheless very interesting.
Thanks for your evaluation, Anders.

I have sent these guys 10 emails (from different accounts) over the last two years requesting information and never once received a reply. Good luck trying to buy anything from them.

Finner,
I have an Astro 9" DM-3011 HDSDI field monitor. Excellent unit. HDSDI loop out. Very solid. You can download a pdf from their site. Not cheap, but good.
