For some reason I can't get the HDSDI or the 720P to work....I thought it was enabled. Tried every monitor setting.

Sincerely,
Michael

That's odd; I use it daily. The right setting should be PVW, which will output a 720p signal on the "preview" output as HD-SDI.

We're not getting anything from any of the 3 BNCs on PVW.

Also if anyone checks this out and has a camera in NY please call Marque ASAP if you don't mind us stopping over to test things out. 1-800-379-0442 ext. 100

I can get it to work, but it's not clean output, i.e. you get the frame guides, menu overlays etc.

Right now with Build 13 both HD-SDI and the Preview ports show the same signal when you set PVW in the menu and press to activate it.

Side note - anyone know if clean 720p image can be output right now, or is it slated for a future build?

Cheers,

Paul

The 720P output is 50P. Maybe your monitor canīt cope with that format?

Best regards

No the monitor can do 720p/50p no problem.

Michael

And on that note...
Why in the world is it 50p? I was on a job where downconverting to the VTR guy and video village became a real bugaboo.
Is there a specific AJA box that can help us?
Red, whassup? Remember that 95% of the playback operators are set up for SD only. Anyone at Red familiar with our day-to-day workflows in the film business?
Cheers,
Harry

You can set 50Hz or 59.94Hz for the 720p output depending on what part of the world you are in for your broadcast system.

Maybe that's the issue?

Any answer on the clean 720p outputs being enabled or not?

Cheers,

Paul

Harry,

Check out the AJA HD10MD3 it will down convert HD-SDI to SDI and Analog
RGB.

Here is the link to the AJA PDF catalog...

I'm having the same problem!!!!! And mine was working twenty minutes before. We were testing out a handheld configuration, not plugged into monitor at the time, and then the battery popped of my belt pack because of the weak v lock problem. Turned the camera back on. Then we went back to studio mode. Put on the optimo and nothing. Dead. Please advise RED! I've swapped cables, outputs, and etc....nothing. What is going on? Anything. HELP!!!
