The handle shown in the new price list for basic is much more elaborate than the one shown here from RED RENDERS on the site. This top which is simpler allows quick removal of the handle and attachment of the camera in low mode on steadicam, also it allows attachment of other accessories on the large number of threaded holes. Is there any chance it will still be made?

We will continue to design and improve the system as we go along. And ALL parts and pieces can be bought separately.

the new handle allows the user to position it forward to help balance the weight of the body vs. the lens, and is much more solid and sound, and feels more like a handle.

This top bracket is so right for us due to Steadicam and cranes. I hope this is also one you will make. Wow look jarred it worked and only took me 7 tries!!!! LOL I'm looking forward to the Alacarte menu thanks Jim.

I think the way you can adjust the battery and drive position to get the whole camera balanced is a very cool idea too.

Is the V battery mount standard. I own V mount batterys and the AntonBauer adapter plate which allows mounting AB batteries. since I just bought several 160wh lithiums in AB mount I'm hoping to use them here also. The AB adapter sildes into the V mount like a battery and screws into the top of the standard V mount to secure itself down. Is this RED one compatable?
I also own a Noga articulating arm which is quite solid and dependable it has a 1/4 20 male thread at each end for mounting monitors onto cameras. Can I use this on the RED? If so I will want to order the monitor without the RED mount.

V-mount is standard... use adaptors to AB.

What Power connector are you using on the body? The power cord from the charger is a LEMO, is that a standard 3 pin?

Oops you got ahead of me Thanks Jim look back two posts for the rod I own is the monitor std. 1/4 20 and a hole on top if you can sell me the other top bracket? what about the basic package 1/4 20 hole... ya sure you betcha......of course there are plenty of 1/4 20 holes!!!
Also is there provision for 16mm 60mm separation lightweight support for follow focus and matte box?
