Because the mount system would have to be built into the body from the beginning. And, I would wager, it would drive the price up considerably.

No, someone could make a compatible mount, which would replace the Red adjustable mount, maybe P+S will do that...

Why would it have to built into the body from the beginning, why couldn't it just replace the PL mount - is there not enough room?
