Greetings.
My name is Luis

I am located in Westlake Ca. 35 min north of Hollywood for those of you who don't know where it is.
I work and travel anywhere in Southern California.
And I am in search of any and all RED owners Operators willing to support one another.

I have future projects where I know for a fact I will need to call on a RED Owner, as second camera/backup camera/ rent cards/ equipment/ maybe my DIT may not be available and so on.

I am a very approachable guy and would like to extend my hand in any help I can offer upfront.
I can pay it forward.

My background is extensive in post production and I am a colorist so I might be able to be of strong value to one of you or many of you.
I know at times budgets are just not there, but that can build strong friendships with guys willing to help one another.
I can tell I will need friends to call who have RED equipment and post production equipment.

I would like to find someone willing to show me a few real world options on work flows in there Post Production work flows.

Im just looking for RED FRIENDS
My email is
Googulplx@aol.com

hope to hear from someone anyone.
My RED Camera comes in Next week.

Hey Luis!

I remember you were working on that horror film in Northridge....
How's everything going? Congrats! I am sure you can't wait to get your RED camera. I just joined the REDUSer forums. We should team up. Please give me a call or send me an email one of these days. I just started a new service for all RED users.

P.S. Here is an excerpt:

---------------------

Hello everyone!

Our company, Timecode Multimedia, has been working for the last few months on several RED shot projects for TV and Film. We are a post production studio offering professional and affordable post services to the independent producer and film maker since 2001. Our work has been seen on PBS, The History Channel, NBC, HDNet, and film festivals such as Tribeca in N.Y., AFI Film Festival and Spirit Awards in L.A.

Due to the success of our RED projects and the complete understading of the RED workflow, we have decided to offer an inexpensive service to convert all your RED footage to the format of your choice along with our full range of professional & cost effective post services. Don't spend valuable time being unproductive.

We have various 2008 Xeon Octocore Mac Pros ready to do the long and painful job for you quick. Give us an EDL or the shots you want to convert, specify the one-light color correction values, give us your approval over a quick session in-house, or if you are too busy, we'll even provide a live web preview to then take care of the conversions.

If you are interested, please visit our website for more info about our complete post services or give us a call at any time.

Thanks!

Luis,

I'll be working at the studio today Saturday. I don't have your phone number. If you have some free time, hit me up at the studio around 3PM.

I have a post in another area of this forum...basically I attend a school that currently has 4 Red Ones on order. Which prompted me looking for any and all information concerning the Red camera system.

So the thought of joining a users group came to mind since I belong to both LAFCPUG (L.A. Final Cut Pro User Group) as well as the MUG. So this begs the question are students acceptable?
