Hi Luki,

Got a copy of the book "The Art and Technique of Digital Color Correction" and was pleasantly surprised to see your name and endorsement on the back cover. How did it all happen? Did you peer review the book and provided feed back to the author before the final print?

Hi Luki,

They paid me a lot of money and I gave my name sight unseen to the publishers.

<JUST KIDDING>

I've known Steve Hullfish for many years and have always respected his artistic and tutorial ability. Color correction is such a difficult subject to teach, and I think Steve has always done a *great* job of demystifying it. He has been a regular contributor to many forums and has always been generous with his time, spirit, and efforts.

Steve contacted me privately and asked if I would look at a couple of chapters just to lend my edits and opinion. I told him that I would love to help him however I could. I've honestly forgotten when the subject of an endorsement came up. But before publication, they sent me final drafts of several chapters of the book that were relevant to my endorsement. I read them thoroughly, added a few very small, almost insignificant edits (like I said, Steve is a great writer...), and contributed an endorsement.

The endorsement was my styling and my words. They did not "ghost write" my comments, as is usually the case with corporate press releases.

Best,

Lucas
