Does anyone have any experience of the Red cart. Is it well built? How does it compare to a Magliner? Does it fold up for storage.

It closely resembles this one http://www.filmtools.com/fil24eqcar.html

(Some would say it's identical....:-))

I got one. It's well-built and does fold up for storage (with some muscle). I added a 150 bowl mount and routinely use it for docking my RED.

The RED cart appears to be the Yaeger Jr. Yaeger jr's and sr's are the most indestructible sturdy camera carts built. And they have great accessories. I have a yaeger sr and I love it. It even fits in my honda accord 2 door when its folded up. I would get the sr sized cart.

RED won't admit it, but it's just a [rebranded?] Yaeger cart. Here's a fun money-saving tip:

RED charges $1290 for the cart, the same as FilmTools. That said, RED ships it with the Yaeger Mitchell Mount Base (http://www.filmtools.com/yamimoba.html) minus the actual Mitchell base [so the RED cart comes with the aluminum bits, but not that actual red-colored Mitchell base].

So.

If you buy the RED cart for $1,290 and the Mitchell Mounting Plate (http://www.filmtools.com/mimopl.html) for $75, you have the same stuff that you would get if you bought the Yaeger cart from Film Tools for $1,290 and the Yaeger Mitchell Mount Base (http://www.filmtools.com/yamimoba.html) for $230.

Long story short, you save $155 if you buy your parts carefully.
