Hi folks-
I'm writing an article for HDVideoPro (http://www.hdvideopro.com) magazine on the Cooke RED Set. If you have the set and happen to have some nice photos of it mounted on your RED, please drop me a PM (http://www.reduser.net/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=384) asap. If we use your photo we'll give you and your production a nice juicy caption.

I seriously doubt there are any of these sets in existence yet. the shortest turnaround time for a Cooke Prime set I've heard for was about 8 months.

I have all of those lenses, but not engraved red... and that's the only difference really.
In fact, if you call Les at ZGC, I doubt there is even a set with the red engravings yet. They are made to order.
But...
If I have a chance next week I can shoot a photo that can perhaps be retouched to make the yellow engravings red?
Cheers,
Harry

Abel just got in some new Cookes and it took considerably less than 8 months. Not a RED set, but brand new just the same.

Hi Mitch! :) Thanks for the update. No worries- I knew they were just starting to ship wasn't sure if anyone had gotten a set yet.

The only thing that makes these lenses different to normal cooke lenses is the colour of the writing on them. red instead of Yellow.

And it's weird that they went with red. Having been a focus puller it's a lot easier to see yellow markings in low light then it is red ones. Oh well, glad I'm not pulling focus anymore anyways.
