Montreal represents over here.

By the way guys, if by chance you don't know how to broker your camera when it ships, I posted something about this on DVX user when I got my HVX. The RED should be the same.

Merci Vincent,

I was just thinking about that. If its 700$ for a HVX, it will be be around 1500$ for the RedOne.

What made you reserve a Red on the second wave, Vince?

Its good to see another one in MTL.

pure lust & envy!

By the way if you do broker your own, make sure to also get the customs guy to fill out the info on a green card for travel. That way if you go in and out of Canada with the camera you will never have a problem at customs.

I would count on it...I still don't have my reservation number. I put down yesterday and have confirmation from PayPal but nothing yet. We have a couple of films that may go by June and I am not expecting mine until probably August...of course, that is provided we get this ACTRA strike resolved.

A lot of stuff has come out from Red since my last post on this thread and I think everybody with a reservation has a good idea what they will get and what they will do with it.

So I think its a good time to start talking about a meet. Anybody interested?

Hi, I also live in Montreal and currently use an HVX.

I hope to shoot a future summer 08 and much rather have a DP with a Red + experience in this area even though I have not discarded buying my own.

So a get together in fall would be a great idea.

Count me in.

Hi

We want to test DI 4K and 2K workflow with Red. Starting service for online, color grading and digital comp. So we need one to run some test.

To all Canadian film makers out there, two RED cams will be coming to Saskatchewan, the first is RED #72 which is scheduled to ship Sept.15.2007, the second is scheduled to ship Jan.2008. The camera will be going through a two week side by side comparison on Corner Gas, and will be availble to rent after that.

cheers
Colin

Heille Gab, m'avais-tu dis que tu t'étais acheté une RED? Me semble que oui, mais tu sais, avec le mois que je viens de vivre :-)
