my favorite 45 second speech from the oscars.

Original Song: "Falling Slowly" from "Once," Glen Hansard:

we made this film 2 years ago,we shot on two handycam, took us three weeks to make,we made it for 100 grand, we never thought we would come to a room like this, be in front of you people, its been an amazing thing. Thanks for taking this film seriously. All of you. It means a lot to us. Thanks to the Academy. Thanks to all the people who helped us. You know who they are. We no need to say them. Make art. Make art.

Great script, Great music. Worst cinematography EVER on any film I have seen. So bad it was constantly taking me out of the story. To bad they did not hire a DP that had a little bit of an idea of what they were doing.

Agreed on both. I've been trying to find a showing of Counterfeiters since I heard about it months ago... it premiered in NYC early January, at which time nobody here had ever heard of it. Luckily it won, so now we can actually find it in LA.

Agreed Finner - good movie, unbelievably terrible cinematography. You can see the cameraman's shadow in basically every walking shot too. Nice touch.

More money for creative people and less for "smugglers".
