whenever i view my 2k full proxy in fcp, it is green and almost instantly causes a hard crash of the system. now my 2k half proxy looks better but won't play smoothly at all and also crashes the mac.
i'm running a mac pro 2.8 ghz 8 core with 6gb of ram and an ati card under os x 10.5.2 with quicktime 7.31. i have the identical machine at home running red with no problems. i have tried unstalling and re-installing every version of quicktime with no luck. are there any other settings to try or am i just waiting like everyone else for red to fix this?!
