Anyone else have a prob with their Bottom Plate having too tight a tolerance for the 4 side screws to go in? I got my cam today (YAY - THANK YOU RED!!!), but I have to tilt the B.P. to get 2 screws in on one side and then am totally fubared to get the other side in, I'm afraid of stripping the holes. The B.P. is riding too high, just by a teensy but it's a critical teensy.

Easy fix on that Jared. Buy Element Technica accessories.

No, that doesn't sound right. Bottom plate works fine here. I had a problem with a side mount, though. Red seems to have a problem with tolerances on their accessories.

Okay, silly question.

With all the various issues I have been reading about RED's accesories, most people say, "get Element Technica's accesories."

When I go to their website, they say their accesories are available through the RED store?

How does one differentiate RED's accesories from Element Technica's? Is the bridgeplate the only Element Technica item available through the RED store and other accessories are purchased from Element Technica directly...

I'm confused:sad:

I think the ARRI 15mm base and the ARRI 19mm base are ET produced.

Yeah, as far as the Bottom Plate goes, it's almost like the paint wasn't taken into account for the tolerances, and I'm NOT going to force those screws in and risk stripping stuff. So, the Bottom Plate's gotta go back I guess.
