Both Apple & Avid pulled out of the convention center...I would think they will still have a presence somewhere in Las Vegas the week of 4/12-4/17/08....?

Without having to be there to match AVID, Apple has pulled out of every major show this year. Word is they're using the marketing dollars to do smaller events partnered with their VARs. The question they had to ask is, 'how many people are going to purchase Apple systems based on our presence at NAB?' With the projected number being very low relative to dollars spent they decided they could get groups of likely purchases together for much smaller amounts of money and give them very directed presentations. That said, Apple folks will be in town, walking the floor and attending the key events/parties.
