purchasing at NAB [Archive]

So, I'm planning to put in a order for RED at NAB. We missed the last reservation window.

I was just wondering, will we be able to reserve a camera in the same way as previous ($1000 down refundable) or will we need the full purchase price.

I'm figuring the former as it looks like we won't be recieving a camera till November, But I don't want to run into any nasty surprises.

You can place an order at NAB with a fully refundable deposit.

So what are the options available to people who cannot realistically attend NAB? When will they be able to reserve a RED? By "they" I entail people who didn't make the original reservations (or were unable to attend NAB)? I acknowledge that there will be items populating on ebay in the next year, but I definitely wouldn't gamble purchasing a 30,000 dollar item off of ebay. Any honest info would be appreciated.
