Hey guys, Im wondering what everyone is using to calibrate their LCD monitors for color correction in RC. Seeing as we cannot get output to a properly calibrated display via HD-SDI, we are stuck with using a calibration puck and hoping for the best. I have an old Spyder puck but was looking into purchasing one of the newer systems.

Anyone have any experience with the new Spyder3 or Monaco Optix XR Pro? I've also head good things about the x-rite eye-one display 2.

The difference between my two cinema displays (even after using OSXs built-in profiler) is really frightening.

I have the Monaco Optix XR. It's reasonably good for the price. I'm not thrilled with the calibration software from Xrite. It takes me a number of tries to get to what feels like a consistent setup between my macbook pro and outboard monitor. You might have better luck if you're using two identical monitors though.

Im wondering if any of them have better support for NTSC/Rec709 color space. Most of them are geared towards digital photography/print and ICC profiles.
