i've done a search and i believe I've done what I can to try and get my system running, sorry if I've missed something on the search...

Just bought a new 8 core mac, installed fcs2 and the redcode plugin. when i bring in my quicktime proxies the bottom half of the image is garbled green splodges.

after a search i realised my mac came with 7.4 installed, so ive done the pacifist install and now im running QT 7.3 again. But it's still the same.

are the proxies limited to 2:1? is 16:9 not supported in proxies?

have to say im a bit disspointed with all this. I bought a mac because I was told it was the best workflow for red. but i cant open any footage ive shot in red alert or fcp. I can in redcine but it seems i cant output tiffs as it only produces 1 frame.

right now I'm not much better off than with my old pc. i hope this changes very soon.

the only consolation is i managed to export footage to quicktime prores, so it's a start.

16:9 is only supported in RedCine right now. In a few weeks it will be supported in the qt component also.

I got the nvidia in my mac pro.

Unfortunately the footage is already shot - we hired a lens for a few days and i wont shoot new footage now until my birger mount arrvies. So im stuck with 16:9 to play with at the moment.

not a real deal, as long as I know 16:9 support is almost here.
