I was reading about the JVC GZ-HD6. I am trying to keep up with the camcorder jargon. What does x.v.color mean to Scarlet?
The JVC has firewire. Is that obsolete? Does scarlet even need HDMI or USB? If new TVs are going to have direct slots for SD cards (and even iPhones) are ports for wires even needed. Can't a lot of space be saved on Scarlet by not having ports.
The JVC uses crappy pixel shifting 1/5" CCDs that output interlaced images to iMovie and FCP. I am loyal to RED (and Canon.) (I still like the Canon TX1, except for its oversaturated colors. It has a 1/2.5" CCD chip. Does that mean it is better than the 1/5" chip in the JVC?) Will Scarlet have a CMOS? What size? I hope we find out in April.
