Not much has been said about ramping lately, can we expect to see some ramping samples at nab? Are they stunning?

Did they say that ramping would be possible?

Yes, unless something has changed--ramping was always there.

The more options the merrier, hopefully they kept it.

How does ramping in camera work? Why not just shoot 60fps and do your ramping in AE?

Something else to consider is that Retiming software should work much better on RED footage because so much data is there. Optical flow slow motion like Shake has is pretty impressive stuff. It may do a very good job of creating in between frames when going from 60fps to 120fps.

Absoloutely. I use Realviz Retimer with excellent results on SD, i never actually realised that the information contained in a 4k frame could lend itself to producing some really good retimed slow motion shots!
