I just saw 10,000 BC tonight and if anyone hasn't seen it yet you should spare yourself. However, I am curious if anyone knows what it was shot on? There were some ridiculously noisy low light scenes. There was nothing subtle about the noise either. I almost couldn't believe this was passable for a $75,000,000 movie.

According to IMDB it's super 35mm anamorphic

I was not planning on seeing it but now I might have to as I have seen a few posts about how noisy it is and I need to see this for myself.

it just looks like the DP pushed processed. most of those shots are w/o VFX -

I did not like the movie. They spent a lot of time on Mammoths and creating wide shots. But little time on much else.
I was sad it turned out the way it did
Now.. Horton Hears A Who.. That was a great movie.. Lots of fun.
No, I'm not joking..

Yeah, 10,00BC was a very dumbed-down version of Apocalypto. Blah from beginning to end.
I also definitely noticed the incredibly noisy, grainy low-light shots. It was extremely jarring, especially since it wasn't every low-light shot, just some of them. Looked awful.
But I have to say, I had never seen such perfect teeth on a caveman before!

I agree. Horton rocks! Well done, they successfully expanded the story to about 90 minutes without too much filler. My only complaint is the recurring use of the word "boob". I suppose they could have said "idiot", "moron", etc.. But now I've got a 2 year old and a 4 year old calling people "boobs". Hehe.
