Running Resolve 9.1.3 Lite on a Macbook Pro Retina (latest) w/maxed out RAM and SSD. 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.

Redrocket with latest drivers and firmware freshly installed connected by Sonnet Echo Express Pro Thunderbolt.

Resolve plays back at 3 or 4 fps. In SYSTEM OVERVIEW it recognizes card as it always has in the past (see attached pic). Camera RAW set to Half Good as usual. Used to work perfectly like this. Not sure what has changed!

R3D footage plays back perfectly in RedcineX Pro through the Rocket.

I have tested footage off an external drive connected by Esata/Tbolt through LaCie and also footage from the local SSD that I know to have played perfectly fine in the past.
I have also turned audio off as this was an issue in the past.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Disparity of Numerical RGB Coordinates in Log Mode when using Mouse Versus Trackball

...

I'm experiencing something odd in Log mode when I use the mouse to make RGB adjustments versus when I use the trackballs of my Tangent Element.

Basically, I'll make the same adjustment with the mouse as I will with the trackball, but the numerical RGB coordinates are way off.

For example, I'll use my mouse to move the little circle inside the highlight wheel so that it rests in the corner of the crosshairs of the Magenta vector. The coordinates will read R: 0.16 / G: -0.07 / B: 0.20

Then I'll reset it and make the exact same move with my trackball to the same (almost exact by eye) location as before. However, the coordinates read completely differentR: 0.04 / G: -0.18 / B: 0.10

So, there is a stark difference in the numerical coordinate values. Yet the relative position is almost identical in the Highlight Wheel of the Log mode.

I know what you're thinking: it's impossible to match it up exactly by eye!

So what I do is, I take a frame grab of both adjustments, then I toggle back and forth while looking at the little circle in the highlight wheel, and I can see no movement. It looks to my eye that the little circle has not moved position at all, despite the RGB coordinates below changing back and forth to extremely different values and the image showing a difference via the wipe.

I called tech support but they were unable to make anything of it from my description, so I'm posting it here with screengrabs for clarification.

I'm seeing this out of stock in a few places, which is generally a giveaway that an upgrade is on the way. Specially since this only has USB 2.0 ports as you can see at the link above.

Can someone from Davinci confirm if we'll see an updated recommended config and if yes, by when?
Many thanks!

Basic editing: Premiere CS 5.5
Effects: After effects CS 5.5
Color grading: Davinci Resolve Lite

Do I loose the 4K quality using the Resolve Lite? How should I export the footage from Premiere to AE, and then to Davinci, still having the RAW-footage, and that I can render out all the effects?
Or should I do the grading first, and send it to AE after Davinci?
Thank you in advance

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if I am dong something wrong here. Everytime I go to export a 1080p clip or self contained finished file, my 1080p footage doesn't fill the whole frame. It's a few pixels short all the way around. It's almost as if it's scaling it down to 99% or something and then I have black lines around the quicktime viewer. It's just a bit of a hassle as I then have to take the file back into cs6 and scale it to 101 to get it to fill frame. Is this a normal thing or do I have something set wrong? It's been doing this since 8, so it's not a 9 issue. Usually it's not that big of an issue as I have to bring it back anyway to add titles and finish the audio, but for a project I just shot, the client just needs about 30 small sequences with no audio that they are using for demo purposes in an iPad app and I want to try and just go from DaVinci out and not have to do the extra step of going back into premiere and exporting again. It's a tight turnaround, so any time that could be saved would help me out a lot. Thanks.
