Wifi streaming? Huzzzzah!

Is it one stream or can it offer a LQ 1mbps stream while also recording a higher quality proxy?

This is fantastic. I too would request a capture format that would be a little easier to edit, but please remember those of us on the "dark side" of computing. A format that works well for PCs would be good too!

This is great news. I was just discussing that the ability to record both ProRes and RAW in the Alexa is going to be an advantage.

The option to record to a 4K intermediate codec (like Cineform 4K) will be even better.

This is an exciting announcement Jim and I'm sure you have more to come. H.264 seems like a logical choice but it's really not ideal for editing. How about prores or mxf?

Btw this is going to be a mess for the unions... Love to see how they figure this one out :) Video assists are gonna fight hard to keep playback in their domain but I hate to say their position feels more antiquated everyday.

Well f**k me. This module is awsome news. Especially for monitoring and streaming, as others have said, not the best format for editing proxies, though some other companies announcements at NAB might make it more feasible.

Any chance this will work alongside future proxy modules so we can use it for streaming/ on set monitoring and get say a proRes proxy from another module?

Ipad plus module plus remote FF?

Question: Do we know if there would be a delay in such a setup, and would it be enough to affect a focus pulling?
