you mean 2K 300fps and 5K 120fps ...there is not 300fps at 5K... I mean not yet :-)

Thanks, Steve. I'd thought that Stage 4 was open to all, but when I went back and re-read Jarred's stage clarification post it states that Stage 4 will be "Available to RED ONE camera owners"; my heart sank a bit.
Thanks for that link, Mike.
I'm not going to shoot the messenger (especially after reading your interesting comments on that thread), but...
DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!!!!!!
That is such a massive shame.
The 256GB SSD cards are how much???
Hang on... I just read this later in the thread...

Hurrah!!!! That's better news. How much is this module?
What? I thought Stage 4 was open to all. Here is the exact quote from the Clarification post:
STAGE 4: Purchase EPIC S35 Brain
Available to RED ONE camera owners that were invoiced by RED or completed the official RED ownership transfer process after May 22, 2010 ( as well as all non-RED ONE owners)
Cost is $28,000 for 1x S35 MYSTERIUM-X brain with PL mount.
Will begin shipping once all Stage 3.5 orders have been notified they are ready for delivery. You must take delivery within 30 days from notification that your order is ready for delivery . Notifications go back to the order of date/time order placed.
Check the date, Anthony: that was in 2009. That's Jarred in 2009 announcing the module... which he cancelled in April 2011. Sorry.
I still think they should make the module myself. It can't be that hugely complex, and it would allow people the option, if they so wanted. If RED don't change their minds and make it, I hope a 3rd party outfit steps up to the plate with a module that had similar functionality.

THANK YOU JIM FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT! Eagerly waiting to hear specifics on stage 3 package. Once again thank you for the Titanium PL mount, that was an amazing upgrade!
Actually that side handle pricing is a bit of a bummer... Jim, Jarred, help us a little here. Couldn't you make a dumb one? Identical ergonomics, same lump of alloy, but minus all the smarts? Just the battery compartment and the record button, ditch all the other controls and LCD etc. and make it for a couple of hundred bucks?
Does this motion have a second? I really wanted one for certain types of shooting, but at $1750 it looks a little silly.
*edit for clarification: if you don't, I'll still order the original - at $950, before the end of the year! But I think you should make the 'dumb grip' version, and if you do I'll buy that instead*
