These are great news! Can't wait for the mail: Hi Dan, your EPIC X stage2 is on the way ;-) Had the oppurtunity to shoot with the EPIC M from action products. All I can say: this camera rocks. Beside the fact, that this camera produces the best image I've ever got out of a film camera, the HDRx give us a tool in hand, that change the way you will light and shoot in the future, means: even low budget projects will look like high budget, depends on the talent and courage of the DOP behind the camera. Thank you RED for all what you have done and changed in the last years for better.

To those touting the price difference from M... The biggest difference between M and X should be how much is enabled. Some of us elected to wait because we dont want a pre-production alpha camera that does
not play back image, nor records sound in camera... nor has 1080P output enabled yet.
Without sounding cheeky... can we assume these features WILL be enabled when X ships in late August?
Or will we be joining the M crowd in waiting for features to be enabled via firmware?

Thank you for this new updated information and price structure.
It was mentioned before about the possibility to substitute "upgrade" certain parts of the X-packages. I wonder if that is still an option that is being considered?
I think what you're doing with the Canon EOS mount it is brilliant. Would there be a chance to substitute the Ti PL mount for the Canon mount for a Stage 3 person?
I'm really into the DSMC concept!
