Just sent an inquiry for an Epic-M.
I thought there would be a text input in the process to explain a little more who we are, what we do and why we ask for an Epic-M, kind of like a motivation letter :)
Hope I'll get the chance to be chosen !

I can't seem to find a list of what is in the Epic-M package. A link would be helpful. Thanks.
no RedMote PRO on the roadmap anymore?
For those of us who currently have a RED One, and will be doing a Stage III trade in, which of our accessories will actually work with the Epic? Will our LCDs and EVFs still work? How about our batteries and hard drives? Anything else?
I know that going "all new" is the best approach, but some of us are in a bit of a financial pickle just now and will really need to stretch to make this work.
Thanks.
Stephen
Wow. Progress is a beautiful thing to see. And telegraphing prices increases to come, several months ahead. THAT is different. Thanks!
Surprised, amid all the good news, no-one else has mentioned the most thumping percentage price increase - DSMC Side Handle not that far short of doubled in price: from $950 up by $800 to $1750. Can I be cheeky enough to ask what's happened there? Is there some huge new enhancement to it that we don't know about yet?

Does this mean now that anyone can order an Epic-M, even those who don't presently own a RED ?
i assume this means price increases from the current projected price for Epic-S. Will we be able to do the same thing, order before 2012 and get the lower pricing? I know that all we have so far on this camera is a guess at the price. About $16,000 or so for the package.
I'm not RED and don't speak for them, but I think I'm correct in saying EVF will work (is working for some people with M right now, seems to depend on firmware), batteries work with adapter cable, hard drives were supposed to work, but they canned the module that was supposed to support them a few months ago, and are offering a trade-in deal on SSD instead: http://www.red.com/store/media/product/red-mag-256gb (as an aside I think Jim or Jarred mentioned a discount of $400 when you trade in a hard drive for SSD; that's actually a very bad deal at the moment as 640GB drives still sell for twice that on the open market. But check on that, my memory is flaky!).
(edit I WAS wrong, the deal is '50% of the purchase price' - which would equate to $450 for a 640. Generous to offer a deal at all of course, but still a very bad deal; 640GB drives especially are still worth more than 50% of the purchase price.)
LCDs - I don't know for sure if they're supported or not. But you want a touch-screen LCD for EPIC anyway :-)
