Acceleration capture would be another amazing device - wireless connection to 3d apps for "virtual" camera work ....or place "3d" objects in your scene and have them show up on the red LCD so you can frame them live? ohh yea.

Is it simpler than all that, all three are the same…

I.e. they use the same EPIC (ish) body.

REDONE has its guts upgraded or updated,

EPIC is still EPIC and Scarlet is in the EPIC(ish) Body.

So in terms of hardware,

Scarlet 3k, NEW Redone 4k and 5k EPIC are all in the same body(ish), same code, same accessories (and if need be same lens mount) and so on. So you can upgrade from a Scarlet to a NEW REDONE and upgrade from a NEW REDONE to an EPIC.

Is that too stupid, too simple, too wrong?

(maybe Scarlet is 3.67K or some vaguely useful binnary boundary or not...)

Sorry to bring up the K (monster) but only to illustrate a higher level idea across the board.

In other words the entire line up is completely consolidated onto one EPIC idea…

You guys are killing us with all the Redvolutionary technology, and these teases resulting in sleepless nights for me. When do we get to see the prototype.

A lot of people are saying Canon acquired Red hence the same date for announcement as in the same products, no back orders, etc... Me on the other hand don't think so i dont see that ever happening... smh
