Man, the footage in this trailer is just plain, amazing. I'm going to watch it again and go dream of holding my Scarlet one day.
The characteristics of the motion blur in the trailer is certainly pretty interesting. The percentage of shots you could pull stills level grabs off seems pretty massive, and the motion blur seems isolated sometimes to only really heavy motion portions on the shot.
Not familiar enough with the relative shutter speeds to tell if that's just a nature of the shutter angle they used, or if this footage has had post processing applied to bring it back down to 24 fps (other than just dropping down every other frame), but it's pretty amazing to go through frame by frame either way.
To me the most beautiful shot at Hobbit trailer is

Cate Blanchett as Galadriel in Hobbit.
Btw, shooting at 48 fps is already an old thing to me.

Here comes the EPIC!
Just congratulations Red team.
After more than a century of film, this is actually a huge step for cinema.
Wow! What a Christmas present!
I hope to see the movie in a cinema with Red laser projection end of next year!
Congrats to Jim and the Red Team!
Merry Christmas.
