Terrific documentary on a legendary arcade game that some say was a sinister psychological experiment. Watch it at night if you can.

I do wish that cinema people would stop calling it 'full frame'. It's bad enough hearing it from photographers! Such a stupid term IMO.
Can someone perhaps point Fred in the direction of an article or video? Somewhere, there must be a decent guide to getting started with Red cameras.
I watched this in 1080, full screen. Wow man, this was so well shot. And you seem to be spot on about the DR.
I'd love to know how you exposed for the daytime shots to balance interior and...
This is not good at all. I don't think this is the right way to look after your customers.
In general I agree with Björn that Red could easily offer at least a very long warranty on the cards....
If you are using tungsten lights with a digital sensor, are you not better off by using a filter? That way, you subtract the appropriate amount from your nominal ISO (the distance between daylight...
Rui, I'm glad you brought this up. I think we need to reacquaint ourselves with these kinds of fundamentals now and then. I take all this knowledge quite seriously, so it's good to be reminded to...
Looks very, very nice to me.
Whatever spare cash I had is in crypto. But, when that matures, I'm going on a spending spree. ;-)
Quick question: how difficult is it to reliably clean the CA? I assume that Resolve does it but I...
Nice lighting. Clean, simple and natural.
I have considered buying a Scarlet X just so I can get used to using a high end cinema camera. I have no doubt that for a lot of things, a modern Sony...
Not quite optical quality (yet?) but it has a practical use case:

Beautiful images, Patrick. Really, really nice.
On a technical point, I see a lot of white 'speckle' in the images. What would that be? I don't think it's snow.
So you do indeed have one! When is the reviewer/tester embargo lifted?

Thanks, Rand. I'm going to watch these later today. I always try and think about these tricky situations. For example, if I had to light a set of a TV show (e.g. Jerry Seinfeld's apartment), what are...
Latest info is that it's basically an A7SIII in a different body. Sounds good to me. I expected a S35 sensor, but oh well.
...
The catch is that it's pretty much made for cinema. If you want to use it for stills, you can, but you're on your own. Notice that there's no EVF.
Sorry for picking nits but total resolution of 4K compared to 8K is half, not 1/4.
It's real, after all. But, no 8K. I hope it's S35, but I bet it's VV, based on the fact that a 35/1.4 is attached to it in the press image.

I don't think it's anything to do with golf or bicycles. Definitely nothing to do with...
Call me naive, and perhaps a smart-alec, but why not use a teleconverter and call it a day? Anyway, do you really want to shoot Vistavision at T1.3? I sure wouldn't!
