And while we're there, we should have them turn off the 120hz "true motion" or whatever it's called. Ack.
I've got the same needs... but in the air.
5 Stars... your courage is inspiring. What an amazing opportunity.
Best of luck, Paul.
Hey Patrick- We only did some small parts for the film, once principle photography was finished. During post they found a few gaps that they needed some establishing shots for, like a new Stark HQ...
We shot some of the aerials in Miami and LA with Epic for Iron Man 3. No complaints from Marvel.
Like David said, it usually hangs on 99% when it's processing audio. Just let it keep going and you should be fine. The longer the clip, the longer the processing.
Great reel!
Just be safe and get a good gimbal to use.
Thanks Al! Can't wait to see the finished film with our shot in there. Hit me up when it's finished.
lol Andy, that's a very nice compliment.
We also rep lots of aerial operators and companies and give really great royalty percentages. So if you have some footage and you're interested, give me a...
Thanks Phil, much appreciated.
It was pretty amazing to see the footage presented in 4k, it's like seeing the footage for the first time again. Now I've got to get a redray player and a 4k...
Hey everyone.
Some of you may have seen some of our stock footage at Red's awesome NAB demo reel, put together by Dan & Jamin. We wanted to share a new reel that we cut together, featuring only...
Whoa... get off the plane and you bought a company. Very cool.
We did the aerial plates in Hong Kong on the Epic. My Epic. =)
Check your PM's.
Well said. For the pilots, who are usually also the Aerial Coordinators, there's a major difference between regular pilots and Motion Picture Pilots (MPPA). Not everyone is listed on their site, for...
The Eclipse can do 110-120kts, SpaceCam's D Unit (used for Pirates 4 & The Hobbit) can do 100kts. I believe the Gyron can do 100+.
There's a lot to consider in picking an aerial platform ranging...
What are the pros of having front glass? The motors inside the cineflex aren't strong enough to handle no front glass. Almost every other system can, including the Gyron. And even the engineering...
That's not true. SpaceCam, Pictorvision Eclipse, Wescam, Stab-C and Super G have all used Epics before the Gyron had.
I don't mean to keep picking apart what you're saying here, but this is extremely misleading. The Gyron that was used for "Frozen Ground" was a gutted Gyron 935 system designed for a Sony & ENG lens....
Sorry, you really do not want any type of glass beyond your lens or filtration. Most aerial DP's shoot at a somewhat deep stop to maintain focus and not only does the glass usually attract dirt and...
Yes, the motors inside are not strong enough to fly without the glass on the Cineflex. Same problem on the old and newer versions.
What I last heard about the Shotover, it still had the glass in...
That's not entirely accurate, but the current incarnation of the Gyron has an Epic in place of the Sony 2/3" camera that was previously in there. The Epic's size made it ideal to place in a small...
I've used Epic countless times with SpaceCam, Pictorvision. Gyron also has an Epic compatible gymbal.
Best way to do your aerials.
