You should be able to use both lenses without an issue, especially in 4k.
BTW the 85mm lens will not magically turn into a 150mm lens, it is, and will always be an 85mm.
I had a conversation about exactly this on a shoot 2 days ago. An AC who doesn't know how to judge distance and is always using the monitor is always reacting to what is on screen, not anticipating...
I'd think you would want to rent instead of buy maxi-brutes unless you have a generator. They are 9 x 1k ( or 750w? ) globes - so 9k of light.
I'm thinking the same thing. Just waiting on that for sale post.
Maybe it was just an elaborate piece of theatre?
Highly likely, it's IR pollution. Get some irnd's or a hot mirror. ND .9 is usually where ir pollution starts to show, especially with a black dress.
That surprises me as I've used zacurto's rods for years. That's about the only zacuto gear that I use. However, if you want something different I'd go with element technica.
Can you expliain why, rather than just shooting down the idea?
George, I think that you need:
a. a lighting budget
or
b. a different camera.
15 fps would look ok if there was no movement. Otherwise, forget about it
Remove the ssd with the firmware update on it and press start. Then format that ssd.
That's exactly why.
oh look, it's a black box with a lens mount on it. That's so radical! And a lens! with markings on it!
Come on guys.
Agreed, and I am going to wait. The fact that there is no footage out there is very strange to me. For once, with red, I am "playing it safe".
Steve does have a point here. Paying that much money for a sensor that we haven't seen one frame from doesn't make any sense to me at all. Especially when I can buy an Epic dragon in a few months for...
I think I may need to see some footage first before laying out $8500.
Laugh all you want but it'll certainly affect the scarlet market.
I hope that ET will be left alone to do what they do best and also still sell add-ons for other cameras. Their micron line is fantastic, a rethinking of an industry standard but not so redesigned...
Esata doesn't carry power. I use the USB power all of the time, works fine. I would think that there's no speed difference between the two.
Well, then you belong to a very exclusive club.
The ir pollution is evident in the r3d that you posted but in the first screenshot something else is going on. I think I have seen something like this on an old build when changing lenses. I assumed...
is there free cocaine?
they made one at one time but I don;'t think that they do anymore.
I think element technica made one as well.
To help you make a decision here's a couple of commercials that I shot on the fs 700
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPj3EoxeXUc
this one is actually a mix of epic and fs 700 - epic for the...
