found the problem, the card wasn't unmounted before it was removed from the camera. unmounting it properly first made it work.

right, it crashes if i have a red cf card in the reader before i open fcp and open log and transfer.

it also crashes if once i have opend log and transfer i insert a red cf card.

It always crashes on me.

As soon as I click log and transfer I get a spinning beach-ball then fcp quits.
